Holiday ruined by hotel food
A daughter who took her mother on holiday to the Dominican Republic had her holiday ruined when the pair became violently ill after eating at the hotel. The trip was supposed to be a treat after what had been a hard year; instead the ‘disgraceful’ conditions at the Luperon Beach Resort in Playa Grande left a number of guests so ill they were attempting reschedule flights to get home early.
Speaking about their ordeal the mother said “The holiday was supposed to be a treat for me after a bad year, and my daughter paid for it all. It was so upsetting for us both that her hard earned money was wasted on the holiday from hell.”
The pair are now seeking answers from the tour operator, Thomas Cook, who are under a duty to provide a service which meets the relevant health and safety standards.
