ASDA to pay £10,000 compensation to a man who slips on a grape
Peter Wardle has received £10,000 for injuries he suffered as a result of slipping on a grape in ASDA. It is not known exactly what Mr Wardle’s injuries were.
A spokesperson for ASDA has denied that there is a problem with cleanliness in the store but said that the judge in this case had taken a dim view of ASDA’s cleaning record.
As well as the compensation ASDA were ordered to pay £18,000 in costs.
It is understood that there are also a number of cases against ASDA that are waiting to be heard by the courts. These include a claim by an individual who slipped on spilt mayonnaise and someone who suffered an injury when they fell on some food.
