Beko fridge freezers recalled
Kitchen appliance company “Beko” has been forced to recall some of its fridge freezer models following an announcement by the London Fire Brigade that certain models posed a fire risk. It is thought that the fridge freezers have been responsible for 20 fires in London, injuring 15 people and killing 1.
The problem is actually being caused by the defrost timer which can fail and overheat. Beko has said that it will replace the part free of charge but customers have expressed dissatisfaction at the fact that the company have proved impossible to get hold of.
