We have secured £30,000 compensation for a woman who was bitten by a dog.
We acted on behalf of Ms S who was visiting her partner. On the day of the accident, her partner’s dog had an operation but was taken home that evening. Ms S was attacked by the dog, suffering injuries to her face and arm.
Our client needed several stitches on her face and arm which has left her with noticeable scars. As a result of her injuries, Ms S suffers from sensations in her lip and oral incontinence which causes problems with her speech. She also struggles to move parts of her lip. Ms S was given medication to help her sleep. Our client has now developed a fear of dogs.
How we helped claim compensation
We presented the claim to our client’s partner’s household insurer. They accepted liability for Ms S’ injuries. The household insurers offered Ms S an initial figure of £23,000 but she followed our advice and rejected the offer as we considered it to be an undervaluation of her claim and injuries she sustained. We entered into negotiations and received a full and final settlement figure of £30,000, which she was very happy with.
If you have suffered an injury as a result of a dog attack, you may be entitled to a No Win No Fee compensation claim. Contact our team of expert personal injury solicitors today to find out how we can help you.
There has been excellent communication throughout the entire claim process. I was kept unto date with all the information from Sainsburys and the outcome has been excellent. Thank you to all involved.Mr W | Supermarket Claim
