An actress was left with matted, thin locks and bald patches after a beauty treatment went horribly wrong.
The hairdresser fitting the hair extensions had used wax bonds instead of glue to hold them in and failed to give any warning not to apply heat to the wax bonds or they would melt.
The actress straightened her hair and noticed that the wax started melting causing her hair to matt and stick together. The actress started to panic as the melting wax was causing her a lot of pain, so she tried to pull out the hair extensions, but in doing so, she ripped out much of her own hair. She was left with thin, brittle hair and bald patches where her hair had been pulled out.
The situation left her terrified of returning to a hairdresser and low in self-esteem – both of which had a knock-on effect on her job as a singer and actress.
