A young boy aged 6, fell from the escalator whilst in Primark and suffered 5 fractures to his skull.
He fell between the first and ground floor of the shop, landing on a clothing rail.
Health and safety executives have been called in to investigate the incident, whilst the boy lies in hospital in an induced coma.
This is not the only time that a child has been injured on a Primark escalator; in 2008 a 3 year old child fell between floors, ending up in hospital with serious injuries.
Escalators pose a huge danger, especially to young and small children, with many being injured each year.
We act for a number of clients who have sustained injuries from escalators. If you have suffered an injury on an escalator that was not your fault you may be able to make a claim. It is important that you get independent expert legal advice, preferably as soon as possible from one of our specialist lawyers.
You have been extremely efficient and helpful. I will now be using you for all my legal business.Mr P B | Derbyshire
Thanks again for the support you gave us during what was a most traumatic time. Certainly, should we need any legal assistance in the future we would certainly contact you.Mr R C | Leicestershire
