Actons help secure £3,500 compensation after child is burnt in fast food restaurant

The accident

We acted on behalf of an 8 year-old child who had suffered significant burn injuries when visiting a fast food restaurant.

The injury

Alongside initial burn pain, the child was left with minor but permanent scarring at the top of their leg.

After discovering the accident had happened at fault of the restaurant’s waitress; the child’s mother felt they had no choice but to take action.

How we helped claim compensation

Following our claim, the restaurant took full responsibility for the accident.

We then arranged for our client to undergo a specialist examination, allowing us to obtain a Medico-legal report.

This report was then used as evidence, significantly strengthening the child’s case.

In order to protect our client’s position as a child, we also arranged for her injury to be valued by a barrister.

After this, we were able to secure £3,500 in compensation.

If your child has suffered a similar injury in or near a restaurant, you may be entitled to a No Win No Fee compensation claim. Contact our team of expert personal injury solicitors today to find out how we can help you.

There has been excellent communication throughout the entire claim process. I was kept unto date with all the information from Sainsburys and the outcome has been excellent. Thank you to all involved.

Mr W

I was more than happy with the way in which my matter was dealt with in every way. Thank you

Mrs S M
