If you aren’t happy with your solicitors then you DO NOT have to keep using them. We have many clients who have come to us to take over the handling of their claim as they are unhappy with how it was being dealt with by their previous solicitors.
You are entitled to have your claim dealt with by solicitors of your choosing. This is the case even if your insurance company has “appointed” a solicitor on your behalf. Often when insurance companies claim to “appoint a solicitor on your behalf” they are in fact selling your claim onto a firm of solicitors. The firm will then try to make savings by passing the case to a very junior member of staff. Despite what your insurance company may tell you, you are free to pick the solicitor that acts for you in relation to your claim.
